“Duck Dynasty” favorite Uncle Si Robertson has made the list of “Reality TV’s Greatest Beards,” and his scraggly grey beard is actually the second on the list. According to Craveonline on Feb. 17, Si Robertson’s beard is worthy of inclusion in this hierarchy of facial hair sponsored by Dish Network and “Duck Dynasty.”
Uncle Si receives this designation along with others from "Duck Dynasty": Phil Robertson, Willie Robertson, and Jase Robertson. Phil Robertson, the “Duck Commander” and patriarch of the bearded family is first place. Willie and Jase were last place, respectively.
Also included in the list were Jack Passion(3) and Aarne Belefeld(4) from “Whiskey Wars,” Paul Teutel, Sr., (5) of “American Chopper”, Duane “Dog” Chapman (6), formerly of “Dog the Bounty Hunter”, and Bryan Johnson (7) of “Comic Book Men.”
This celebration of the greatest facial hair is in honor of the return of “Duck Dynasty” on Wednesday, February 27. It will air with two back-to-back episodes at 10 p.m. on DISH channel 118. This is the wildly popular show’s third season.
“Duck Dynasty” focuses on the Robertson family of Louisiana who built a multi-million dollar business from a duck call fashioned from swamp wood by Phil Robertson. The family has retained their down-home, redneck way of living, and America has fallen in love with the characters, especially Si Robertson.
Uncle Si Robertson is Phil Robertson's younger brother. He is a veteran of Vietnam and a fountain of endless anecdotes, jokes, and advice. Much of the time, he mispronounces or misuses words and phrases in a way that is quoted across the Internet by fans everywhere.
