Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint opens new location in Dunwoody

Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint recently opened their newest restaurant in the Wal-Mart shopping center in Dunwoody at 4745-C Ashford Dunwoody Road, which is just down the street from Perimeter Mall. Locals can nosh on their gluten-free pizza made with quality ingredients and take advantage of their take-out, Take & Bake, and catering options.

Known as the “Chipotle of pizza,” Uncle Maddio's caters to the gluten-free community by offering Venice Bakery's pre-made vegan/gluten-free crust. The crust is made from: rice flour, tapioca flour, potato flour, water, olive oil, sugar, yeast, and salt. The crust comes in both medium and personal size. They are working on updating their menu to incorporate a notation by those toppings/options that are gluten free, so until then, here is a list of their gluten-free toppings and salad dressings:

Pizza Toppings

  • All Cheeses, All Fresh Vegetables, Banana Peppers, Black Bean Corn Salsa, Black Olives, Green Olives, Mandarin Oranges, Pineapples, Anchovies, Bacon, Angus Steak, Grilled Chicken, Grilled Tofu, Ground Beef, Jerk Chicken, Tomato Basil Sauce, Pesto Sauce, Garlic Infused Oil, and Buffalo Sauce

Salad Dressings

  • Balsamic Vinaigrette, Raspberry Vinaigrette, Greek Dressing, Blue Cheese Dressing, Caesar Dressing, and Yogurt Ranch Dressing

“Uncle Maddio’s can’t wait to be part of the bustling Dunwoody area,” said Uncle Maddio’s founder and Chief Pizza Maker Matt Andrew. “Locals now have a new choice in pizza – one that’s family-friendly and known for creating gourmet-style pizza in just six minutes. By the time you pay and grab your drink, pizza is on its way to your table.”

The Perimeter Mall area is slowly becoming a mecca of dining options for those who follow a gluten-free diet and Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint is a welcome addition. Since I also avoid dairy, I am pleased that their crust is vegan and that they offer Daiya cheese, locally-sourced vegetables, free-range and hormone-free chicken, and organic greens.
