The development of the tentatively-titled “Uncharted 4” may be changing with the departure of Amy Hennig. According to a report from MCV Pacific on March 5, the creative director and writer for the “Uncharted” series left the critically-acclaimed studio.

Furthermore, Amy Hennig may have been “forced out” by Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann, the other directors at Naughty Dog. The pair will apparently take over the responsibility of “Uncharted 4.”

The studio has two development teams with one working on the “Uncharted” and the other branching out with “The Last of Us.” Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann were the directors of the latter title. The pair recently stated that they were mulling over either working on “The Last of Us 2” or a new intellectual property. It appears that they may fill the same role for “Uncharted 4” that was previously held by Amy Hennig.

Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann actually unveiled the debut trailer for the next game in the “Uncharted” series during a televised event celebrating the launch of the PS4 in the second to last month of 2013. The upcoming title currently does not have an official release date window.

You can check out a batch of screens from “The Last of Us,” which was launched last year for the PS3, with the slideshow gallery located to the left of this article.
