Naughty Dog today announced the release of the first DLC add-on for “Uncharted 3” since the game’s multiplayer recently went free-to-play. The developer is committed to releasing a new DLC pack for “Uncharted 3” every month until June 2013. Today’s Oddball DLC recognizes Extraterrestrial Abduction Day (a holiday created to observe alien encounters around the world). The connection between the odd holiday and the Oddball add-on is that the DLC add several odd characters and clothing to the “Uncharted 3” free-to-play multiplayer mode. The Oddball theme adds several new tournament rewards such as a British Guard Hat, gas mask, pillow case, or plastic bag to be worn on a multplayer avatar’s head.
Over three hundred and fifty thousand gamers have downloaded the free-to-play multiplayer client for “Uncharted 3” since Naughty Dog made the mode free a few weeks ago. Over the course of the next several months, the developer will release new content for the game in an effort to keep the community active and encourage more players to download the title.
