Uncertainty is a Certainty

To be uncertain is to be uncomfortable, but to be certain is to be ridiculous. -- Chinese Proverb

Life would be a bore if we knew what would happen before it did. Uncertainty brings with it one of two things: dread or excitement. Those who look at uncertainty, dreading it, will plow through life filled with fear, many times seeking answers in the strangest of ways, while those people who anticipate and are excited by uncertainty will sail through life , and welcome its challenges and the opportunities it presents for growth and maturity. Think about how boring it would be if everything was exactly the same each and every moment. Life would be like reading a book or seeing a movie that is the same from beginning to end.

Have you ever known that feeling of simply being exhausted with life, tired of facing each day, overwhelmed by the unanswered questions? Does fear and dread constantly accompany you throughout your day? I would like to know that I'm not the only one who has ever felt this way. Hiding from the fear of uncertainty by immersing ourselves in something to avoid its affects, does not work. From my experience it just makes things worse for today and grows more uncertainties for tomorrow.

Do not let your emotions sway your decisions or your future. Try to be realistic as much as possible. Emotions are responsible for creating uncertainty in your decisions so never try to involve personal emotions in your decisions. If you are angry or sad, then all your designs are influenced by your feelings. Take some time to cool down and then deliberate your choices when you have calmer emotions and a stable mind.

We all have periods in our lives where we face the uncertainty of our future and this usually brings the emotions of anger, fear and insecurity. Once these emotions are set in place and we allow them to take over, we find ourselves in a power struggle. This power struggle is inside us, forcing us to try and control the issues of our lives. It's a survival instinct. We simply have to know what's going to happen so we can be prepared. But life doesn't always work that way. Some days, at the end of the day, I have more questions than I have answers, and am a little more unsure about tomorrow.

Fearful thoughts will get you nowhere. Fear paralysis you. Anger and stress will eventually make you sick. Trying to control individuals and situations around you will only lead to more anger and fear when they don't meet your expectations. It's a circle of circumstances you can't afford to get stuck in.

When we constantly worry about our future, we can't stay focused and centered in the events taking place 'right now'. The decisions made today are what the future is based on. So if you send out worried thoughts on a daily basis, tomorrow will bring you nothing more than worried thoughts

I lived in fear of everything and everyone. Of course, I always tried to present myself as self-assured, outgoing, and able to handle anything. However, it was all a smokescreen, words to hide the truth. The truth lived in the shadows of my life. I was so shocked and surprised at times throughout my life, and I was searching for answers. I sought those answers through a multitude of means, things like money, success, relationships, that all lead to the same ending. With even more questions, even more uncertainties.

I was like the character Jekyll and Hyde, two totally different personalities sharing the same body. Around others, the tough person, acted as if everything was fine. The other side soon became a terror, not only to others, but to myself. Eventually Hyde took over, with only a glimpse from time to time of who I use to be. This added to dreading each new day, knowing I would lose a little more of former self.

The best practice to follow so that you can avoid uncertainty is that try to never leave today's decision for tomorrow. Make careful decisions, as every decision you make will have a tremendous impact on your life and your future. No decision is too small or too insignificant.. Remember that in the future you can get your desired purpose and place in life if you make careful decisions and do so with careful deliberation and intention.

Don't try to run and hide from uncertainty. Nothing in life is certain, except that fact. It's useless to hide from it; just deal with the uncertainty and then everything will start moving in the desired direction.

Learn to deal with it because it's part of life. Blind leaps of faith and pushing through the unknown will bring tremendous personal growth if it's approached with the right attitude. In times of greater change and uncertainty the thrill of overcoming challenges is in the uncertainty. If success was assured, there would be no challenge at all. Instead of fighting uncertainty and bracing yourself against the possibility of change or something not working as you would prefer it to, embrace change and the uncertainty for the excitement it adds to your experience.

When you live your life tentatively, you will be missing out on a wealth of encounters. Allow yourself to live fully, remember to embrace and appreciate uncertainty as an opportunity to experience unlimited possibilities. Embrace the suspense of life and allow the uncertainty of life to unfold before you.

Challenges and experiences are what life is truly about and who you truly are.

Your approach to change and uncertainty is a testimony to who you truly are. Who you are is who shows up when change is more pronounced and the outcome more uncertain than experienced before

Remember things that seem uncertain for us, are a certainty for God.
