Ginsberg is described by people who know him as being an extremely charming and caring individual. According to various individuals interviewed, Rabbi Ginsberg's past modus operandi is to use these qualities to lure vulnerable women, especially those who are hoping to convert to Judaism, or going through a personal crisis.

After loosing his position in Minnesota, he was hired by Ezra Habonim/Niles Township Jewish Congregation in Skokie, IL on September 1, 2004. Last year after newer allegations of professional misconduct arose, Jonathan Ginsburg lost his new position at the Skokie synagogue.
