Please take pride in your country and take the trouble to find out the facts. If intellectually lazy Americans just believe whatever's comfortable to believe without checking the facts, this country is doomed. I'm disgusted with this article. I'm disgusted with my fellow Americans. I don't even like Obama very much; but who are we to complain about higher taxes when almost a billion people live on less than a dollar a day and 25,000 children die daily? Should those children have worked harder? Were they too lazy to get up and make themselves a sandwich? Should they have gotten a job instead of watching the TV that they don't have because they don't have electricity? Who are we as comfortable Americans whose only worry is obesity to withhold the wealth that we were born into. Do we work harder than those who are paid a dollar a day? I doubt it. We do not work to feed our starving children. Perhaps we work hard to buy our children Christmas presents, but I dare say that's a little different. Most often we work to get a bigger house, so we can live in a "better" part of town, to have a better car because we "need" it. I'm absolutely disgusted.
