Breaking last year’s live-streaming record was the world’s number one DJ, Hardwell whose set garnered 223,562 concurrent live-views (the amount of people watching at any one time) via UMF-TV. The newly appointed number one DJ broke the record which was set last year by Swedish House Mafia after streaming their last performance together as a group and receiving over 210,000 spectators world-wide.

To further reflect Ultra Music Festival's impact, a recent report released by the Washington Economics Group stated that in 2013, the six-day festival generated a whopping $223 million for the Miami-Dade economy. Ultra Music Festival became the first EDM event to host over two consecutive weekends for its 15-year anniversary in March 2013.

Ultra 2014 - Main Stage:

New to Ultra Music Festival this year was Ultra’s Main Stage, appropriately named “The Vortex,” which was designed and produced by Ultra Music Festival’s Creative Director Richard Milstein with featured mapping design by V Squared Lab’s Vello Virkhaus.

This year’s main-stage heightened the magnitude of each performance as illuminated LED panels below, behind, and beside each mega-star emblazoned each performers iconic logo, which sent the crowd into an uproar every time.

“The Vortex” featured the best acts in electronic dance music today. On Friday, it hosted: Tiësto, Kaskade, Eric Prydz, and Zedd. On Saturday, it featured: Martin Garrix, Krewella, Nicky Romero, Alesso, Above & Beyond, and deadmau5; and on Sunday the main-stage saw: Jack-U (Skrillex and Diplo’s festival debut), Afrojack, Steve Angello, David Guetta, and Hardwell to end the weekend’s festivities with a grand-finale.

Ultra Stages:

Catering to almost every dance music fan’s palette, the festival hosted six other stages which featured a slew of other notable performances and acts that ran the gamut over various genres including: classic house, electro, trance, bass, dub-step, trap, nu-disco, progressive, and techno.

One of the newer stages added to Ultra Music Festival this year was its “Worldwide” stage which featured: Carnage who was joined on stage with Wacka Flocka, as well as Borgore and Adventure Club on Friday; Dillon Francis, Flosstradamus, and RL Grime were featured on Saturday; while on Sunday, Cedric Gervais and Gareth Emery took the stage with Fedde le Grand as its headlining performer.

Carl Cox hosted his legendary Carl Cox & Friends party at the “Megastructure.” Loco Dice, Dubfire, Marco Carola, Maceo Plex, Umek, Pete Tong, and Nic Fanciulli joined the stage amongst many others. For the past 10 years, Carl Cox has hosted his legendary Carl Cox & Friends party at Ultra Music Festival and has since become a staple at music festivals around the world featuring his iconic sound.
