Ultimate Warrior dies from heart attack just days after WWE Hall of Fame speech

According to an Apr. 9 report from NJ.com, WWE legend The Ultimate Warrior passed away on the evening of Apr. 8, due to an apparent heart attack.

The Ultimate Warrior, real name James Brian Hellwig, was just 54 years old at the time of his passing.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that The Ultimate Warrior was walking to his car outside a hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona, late in the evening of Apr. 8, when he clutched his chest and collapsed. The Ultimate Warrior never recovered.

TMZ.com is reporting that The Ultimate Warrior suffered a catastrophic medical event that led to his death.

Witnesses say The Ultimate Warrior was walking down a short hallway at the Gainey Suites Hotel in Scottsdale, heading to his car with his wife by his side at the time of the incident.

The Ultimate Warrior's wife was apparently walking alongside him when he went down. The Ultimate Warrior, a 2014 inductee into the WWE's Hall of Fame, was immediately rushed to a nearby Arizona hospital, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

So far there is no evidence of drugs, alcohol or foul play.

The WWE Universe was shocked to learn of The Ultimate Warrior's passing, being that he appeared on WWE Monday Night Raw just one night before his death.

During the episode, The Ultimate Warrior appeared to be in great health and he even delivered a lively speech to the crowd on hand.

An autopsy is scheduled for Apr. 10 to determine the official cause of death for The Ultimate Warrior. So far, funeral arrangements have not been announced.

Thoughts go out to The Ultimate Warrior's family at this time.
