Ultimate Snackadium: Pillsbury teams up with the NFL to battle hunger in America

While Greco-Roman wrestling, with its Titan-like strong men, may have been all the snack-inducing rage of the eighteenth century, today we like to see our heroic athletes tackle on Astroturf bedecked with fierce mascots and bookended with field goals. Moreover, we adore our muscle-bulging, football-toting celebs for their commitment to those less fortunate.

Football and good food go hand in hand. Today, the Taste of the NFL’s “Party with a Purpose” celebrates the All-American tradition of gathering for game-time goodies, cheering for favorite teams, and helping to end hunger in America.

Quite a dichotomy exists in our great nation: so many of us are fortunate enough to think nothing of planning a tailgate feast, while others can’t be sure when they’ll eat again. The NFL sees this problem, as do the good people at Pillsbury. For the first time, Pillsbury is participating in the NFL’s ticketed event at the New Orleans Convention Center today.

Pillsbury is presenting the Ultimate Snackadium, an edible stadium replica, measuring 7’x10’. The delicious diorama is complete with a field, players, goal posts, end zones, stands and fans. It took almost two days to prepare and includes 575 Bacon Cheddar Pinwheels, 200 Crescent Pizza Pockets, and teams comprised of Crescent Dog Players.
