Harlem's 3rd STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering + Math) Expo was just the warm up act to New York City's Ultimate Science Street Fair, happening this Sunday, June 1 from 10 AM to 6 PM in Washington Square Park.
This annual Science-Palooza regularly features hands on demos that take kids up into space, up close with robots, and in deep with germs and viruses.
This year's highlights promise to include:
* Experiencing microgravity with a (miniature) drop tower
* Getting the scoop on space boots - and space toilets
* A hurricane simulator
* Real-life fossils
* Math and weather
* Controlling robots with your mind!
Not to mention face-painting, street performers, and costumed characters for photo opps, plus tons of giveaways. (Do you need many, many tiny, science-related objects in your house? Rest assured, you will have them.)
The Ultimate Science Street Fair spans many blocks, dozens of activities, and a handful of tricks for getting the most out of your day, before your child - or you - melt down from over-stimulation.
