- Artist chart: A$AP Rocky soars to the top of the Ultimate Artist Chart this week, in addition to also claiming the charts biggest move in the process. The child friendly Kidz Bop Kids franchise returns to the Top 20 on Ultimate Artist Chart with Volume 23 while Justin Timberlake, while working on the re-launch of a revamped MySpace, flexes his star power, with a Top 5 debut in anticipation of his forth coming new album.

Change is in the air this week as A$AP Rocky vaults to #1 on the Ultimate Artist Chart, ending Taylor Swift’s three week reign atop the chart. In addition to claiming the top spot, A$AP Rocky also claims this week’s biggest change on the chart, moving from #43 to #1 (+42). The dramatic jump in his profile this week can be directly attributed to his massive video and social media exposure combined with single and album sales in addition to terrestrial and satellite radio support. The New York City native has already seen radio success with the Top 20 Ultimate Song Chart single “F**kin Problems.” Supporting this, the single, which features Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar, also rises at terrestrial radio, moving into the #1 spot on this week’s Urban Mediabase monitored chart. In addition, the song steps to #42 on Amazon’s Top Sellers mp3 chart, logging its 79th day in the Top 100, based on the strength of 854,000 downloads sold. The VEVO/YouTube video for his second radio single boasts an amazing 5.5+ million views while collecting 44,000+ “Like” votes. Complimenting the video is Rocky’s YouTube channel, which has already assembled 125,000+ subscribers, while gathering 28+ million video views, collectively. Not to be over-looked are conventional ‘brick & mortar’ stores which helped the Harlem rapper’s debut album, LongLiveA$AP, released through A$AP Worldwide/Polo Grounds/RCA, sell 139,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, in its first week, good enough to debut on top of the Billboard 200.

The immensely popular children’s music franchise Kidz Bop Kids returns to the Ultimate Artist Chart this week at #19. Featuring kid-friendly covers of recent hits, Kidz Bop 23 includes covers of Ultimate Song Chart Top 20 singles, including Justin Bieber's “As Long As You Love Me,” Rihanna's “Diamonds,” fun.'s “Some Nights” and One Direction's “Live While We're Young.” With 81,000 albums sold in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan, Kidz Bop Kids 23 had the best sales week for an album in the Kidz Bop series since 2006. The lead single “Everybody Talks,” with nearly 50,000 views on VEVO, is in the Top 50 on iTunes top video’s chart as well as in the Top 10 on Amazon’s Best Sellers chart. The Kidz Bop VEVO channel has almost 7,000 subscribers and 6 million+ video views. The Kidz Bop series, released through Razor & Tie Records, has sold millions of albums featuring child-friendly covers of contemporary pop songs. So far, the franchise has sold over 10 million albums in the U.S, which includes all of the Kidz Bop Kids, Vols. 1-22, albums along with the various specialty albums like Kidz Bop Christmas and Kidz Bop Halloween Party. In total, the Kidz Bop series have seen sales in excess of 13 million albums in the United States with the line’s premiere 2001 release, simply titled Kidz Bop, with sales in excess of 959,000, being its best-selling title.

With the pending release of his third studio album, The 20/20 Experience on March 19th, Justin Timberlake makes his presence felt with a Top 5 debut on this week’s Ultimate Artist Chart. Capitalizing on the premiere single’s #2 debut on this week’s Ultimate Song Chart, Top 10 placement on the iTunes Top songs chart; Top 5 on the iTunes genre specific Top Pop songs charts and a Top 15 placement on Amazon’s Top Sellers mp3 chart, JT soars on this week’s Ultimate Artist Chart at #4. In addition, his YouTube/VEVO channel has 200,000+ subscribers and over 250,000,000 video views. The video for the lead single, “Suit & Tie” has compiled over 11 million views between the audio track and the official lyric video alone, with just under 100,000 combined “Like” votes being cast between the two as well.

With the promotional ramp-up to the album release in full swing, Timberlake will appear at a February 2nd Super Bowl benefit event as well as making a return to the Grammy stage this year, his first onstage appearance at the awards show in four years.
