The sovereignty of the Ukraine in the Crimea region of the nation was breached by unmarked paramilitary personnel at two airports. The Ukraine government alleges that they are Russians or dispatched by Russians.
Such action raises serious questions about Ukraine ability to secure its borders and to protect its people.
This is third-world country kind of behavior. A developed nation would have responded with military force, or homeland security would have detected and been prepared for such a breach.
Can one imagine that happening in the United States?
Looking at the CIA World Factbook to assess Ukraine’s military here is what it says.
Ground Forces, Naval Forces, Air Forces (2013)
Military service age and obligation:
18-25 years of age for compulsory and voluntary military service; conscript service obligation is 12 months for Army and Air Force, 18 months for Navy (2012)

What is apparent is a severe breakdown by the Ukraine government.
