Bestival, a four-day music festival held at the Isle of Wight in England, will be coming to the US and Europe in the future. This new was confirmed by Bestival organizer Rob Da Bank, who is expected to sign a distribution deal to launch the event in North America and other sites across Europe in the next week. Speaking with The Telegraph he says “The deal has been a long time coming. I’ve never been in this industry for the money but now I’m 40 with three small kids, it’s time to get business minded.” There have been no details as to when the festival will be launched in the US.
This year's Bestival will be held in the Isle of Wight's Robin Hill Park from September 4-7. Some of the headliners include Outkast, Beck, Foals, Disclosure, Major Lazer, Wild Beast, and Chvrches among others. The complete line up can be found below. Tickets are still available for the event. The festival was founded ten years ago by Rob Da Bank, who is also a DJ and record label boss. It acts as an off shot of his Sunday Best record label and night clubs. Along with featuring great music, the festival is involved in supporting social and environmental causes, such as Isle of Wight Youth Trust, St. Catherines School and Barter for Bestival, Amnesty International, and Water Aid.
