With an inspired 20 point, 5 steal, 8 for 14 from the floor performance in just her third career start as a Flame Thursday night in a loss to Cleveland State, freshman guard Taylor Foulks made a huge impression on the court.
A local Joliet recruit, Foulks also racked up a block, an assist, and four threes in 35 minutes on the floor in the Flames' (9-12, 6-4 HL) 51-62 loss at Cleveland State (11-10, 6-4) that ended a two win streak. She also leads the team in three point accuracy on the season with a .372 average.
In the January 30 contest at Loyola Foulks also contributed 12 points, 5 boards, 3 assists and 2 steals for the 70-66 UIC win.
The UIC women have dropped their last five meetings against CSU, and are back in Ohio today to take on Youngstown State (0-21, 0-10) for another conference showdown at 1pm CST. If Foulks starts this will be another prime opportunity for her to rack up more numbers and make her presence known in just her first year as a Flame.
