An ugly flash mob has emptied a mall in Louisiana on Saturday after a massive fight broke out inside the food court. Over 200 teenagers are said to have been involved in the incident.
In cell phone video footage, which you can watch below, the flash mob got ugly chaos ensued in the food court cafeteria. The flash mob, which was originally initiated by 200 teenagers, turned into a brawl so big that it sent people rushing to the escalators in an attempt to flee the scene.
In the video, you can see mall patrons cramming the escalators as if the building was on fire. Mall employees were asked to abandon their cash registers, as well.
"We think there was some sort of post on social media about a flash mob for tonight which drew such a large crowd of juveniles," Casey Rayborn Hicks, a spokeswoman for the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, said, as reported by ABC News.
For those not in the know, a flash mob is a community-created event. Typically, a large group of people rehearse a dance sequence that will take place in a public area. Often containing dozens of people, but also having the ability to incorporate hundreds or even thousands of participants, a flash mob is usually a fun, positive dance routine that brings a smile to the faces of the unsuspecting people caught in the show.
“I’ve been out here walking the grounds for 30 minutes. I cannot find her,” said one concerned parent looking for her child who was caught in the ugly flash mob at the mall.
