An ugly flash mob emptied a mall after the group of 200 teenagers gathered there erupted into violence. Despite panicked reports on Facebook that someone at the mall had a gun, there are no official reports that any of the teens were packing heat, according to a Sun., Jan. 6, 2013 report by ABC via Yahoo! News. Even without weapons, 200 hormone-riddled teens are a force to be reckoned with.
According to a spokeswoman for the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, Casey Rayborn Hicks, "We [the sheriff's office] think there was some sort of post on social media about a flash mob for tonight which drew such a large crowd of juveniles." The fight went down in the mall's food court.
Cellphone videos showing the aftermath of the ugly flash mob that emptied the mall captured the mayhem. Shoppers at the Mall of Louisiana clogged the escalators and raced for the exits after the fight started. Even mall employees were instructed to abandon their posts and evacuate the building.
