Being called curvy is something Ugly Betty's America Ferrera is totally okay with.
"Starving yourself is not beautiful," the 25-year-old award-winning actress said in an interview earlier this year.
The star was recently spotted frolicking on the beach in atypical celebrity style sporting a swimsuit top and shorts, something the Daily Mail calls a "healthier attitude to body image".
Rarely shown baring her mid-section, America was seen in the Caribbean waters showing off her shapely figure.
"There's just way too much attention placed on the way we look," Ferrera said earlier this year of the media emphasis on Hollywood weight loss.
"I think it's hilarious when people call Jessica Alba or Eva Longoria curvy."
Adding, "Come on - they're not curvy. I'm curvy!
'I've been really lucky," America says of her Ugly Betty role.
"Playing Betty has prepared me to be exactly who I am and not to change."
