UGA Soccer: Spring Schedule announced, play begins Saturday

The University of Georgia Soccer Dogs begin spring play this weekend at home, when they will host Florida State.

Six dates for the 2012 Soccer Dog Spring Schedule were announced by UGA head soccer coach Steve Holeman today:

  • Feb. 25 vs. Florida State, 2 p.m.
  • Mar. 3 at Clemson, 1 p.m.
  • Mar. 8 vs. Auburn (in Atlanta), TBA
  • Mar. 24 7-a-Side Tournament, 9 a.m.
  • Apr. 1 at USC/UNCC, TBA
  • Apr. 14 vs. Alumni, TBA

The 7-a-Side Tournament will be hosted by UGA, and will include five additional in-state schools: Kennesaw State, Mercer, North Georgia College & State University, Georgia College and Armstrong Atlantic.

UGA finished 2011 at 13-7-2 (SEC 6-3-2) at No. 28 in the final Top Drawer Soccer poll.
