The No. 9 UGA Gym Dogs (1-1) fell to the No. 2-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (1-0) on Friday night, 196.475-196.325, after leading by .15 into the third rotation on the night. The Gym Dogs posted a 49.125 on the beam, while the Tide hit a 49.2 on the floor, to edge their way to the top.
"I'm proud of the overall effort of everybody,” UGA head gymnastics coach Jay Clark said on www.georgiadogs.com. “We talked about staying aggressive and we did that. We knew there would be an ebbs and flows. We got down early, but came back. It was an overall good effort."
