A report submitted Sunday evening to UFO Sightings Report described a very bright and stationary light in the vicinity of Orlando International Airport. The light was reportedly observed for about fifteen minutes at approximately 7:30 p.m. and located a mile northwest of the airport. It was estimated to be about 500 feet off the ground and apparently made no sound.
“As we were watching there were planes that were heading north from the airport,” it was stated in the report, “and the lights on the planes were about the same brightness as this stationary object that we were observing. However there was no sound from this object and no movement at all in any direction.”
A report submitted Sunday to the Mutual UFO Network described a sighting occurring at approximately the same time about 140 miles southwest of Orlando in Venice, Fla. The report described five bright, star-like objects moving at what the witness interpreted to be a high rate of speed at 7:18 p.m. The individual who submitted the report claimed to have an extensive background in aviation, adding the objects were not anything of which they were aware.
Another report submitted early Sunday to UFO Sightings Report indicated a sphere-like flying object was observed in Orlando about 4:30 a.m. Sunday. The witness described the sphere as having a bright orange glow and moving “horizontally”.
