A Colorado witness reports that what looked like a falling star moved to an area of the sky and disappeared into a "gray, ghost-like mass" while a triangle-shaped UFO quickly appeared 200 feet overhead on May 5, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness first watched the area where the falling star disappeared because "no fading or shrinking" was observed.
"What I then saw on same spot - it disappeared. I made out a gray ghost-like mass that it seemed to go behind it when it dissapeared," the witness stated.
The witness watched the area for another two minutes, then began walking, but soon noticed a low flying craft about one-quarter west of the location. The craft had "4 to 6 lights" along its underbelly.
"The craft was only seemed 200 feet above me. It was triangle and made no noise. It was passing me heading northeast and a male jogger was then passing me. I told him - look up. He did - he said 'wow' and kept jogging. The object elevated and went straight to same northern spot and disappeared as well!"
No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the MUFON report, which was filed on May 6, 2011. No images or videos were included with the report. The above quotes were edited for clarity.
