UFO sightings across California reported on New Year's Eve

UFO sightings across California were witnessed on New Year's Eve. Several people saw more than just fireworks from San Francisco to Sacramento. According to KSLA-TV in Shreveport, La. on January 3, Steven Brown reported an object in the night sky over the state capitol.

“Well, we saw it right through the trees," Brown said. "It was bright enough to shine directly through the trees without any problem seeing it.”

UFO sightings across California included mention of bright lights, but no sound. The way they moved was unlike any firework display. Some of the objects moved in a diamond shape and then separated, going off in different directions. Another was spotted hovering for about a minute, before zooming away at a high rate of speed.

In addition to San Francisco and Sacramento, objects were also seen as far away as the hills above Hollywood. One person captured the event on video over the famous Hollywood sign.

Previous UFO sightings across California were explained away as arcing power lines or even an airplane flying over the area with a lighted sign underneath. So far no explanation has been given for the latest sightings.

What do you think about the UFO sightings across California story? As we wait for the official explanations to come forth, any speculation as to the cause of the sighting should be fair game. Please drop in your comments below.
