UFO sighting in Louisiana: Odd motionless object with strange blue glow [video]

A new video from Metairie, a suburb of New Orleans, Louisiana, reportedly shows a UFO that was recorded on Saturday, January 7, 2012. The video is extremely short, just seven seconds in length, but it's long enough to show the object clearly. Tonyspat1369 posted this amazing UFO video online.

The UFO seemed to have the same general shape as a helicopter, but that's where the similarity ends. The unidentified flying object had flashing red lights on the top and bottom of its body. It also had a single green light glowing steadily at the rear. The entire body of the UFO glowed with a soft blue light as it hung perfectly motionless in the sky.

The colors and locations of the lights on the UFO are different from where they would be on a helicopter. According to "Captain Roy," an expert with 20+ years in Aviation, ATPL and Learjet45:

"All aircraft have standard light for recognition and collision avoidance. The red and green lights you see are to show the left (Red) and right (Green) side of the aircraft. A small white light is aslo seen on the rear of the aircraft. With factors like differing speeds and sizes it can be difficult to know whether and aircraft is moving way or towards you at night. The red flashing light is a rotating beacon aiding visability. Most modern aircraft also have strobe or flashing lights for better visability as well. It's all about seeing and being seen."

The UFO seen in the January 7 video canot be a helicopter based on the preceding description of where the different lights should be located. The object is definitely not an airplane either, and no one could mistake it for a star, planet or other celestial object.
