On Thursday, November 24, 2011, a UFO was reportedly seen hovering above the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on 6th Street in New York City. The interesting black object was spotted by a YouTube user named Super1NYC who managed to capture the strange UFO on video.
The video of this Thanksgiving Day UFO sighting lasts one minute and twenty-two seconds, but the unidentified flying object is actually visible just a fraction of that time. The UFO makes its first appearance at the 20 second mark in the video on the left side of this page. It appears to be a dark amorphous blob hovering high above the parade route.
Super1NYC included the following description with the video:
An unidentified flying object hovers in the air high over 6th Avenue at the Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC! I did not even notice this until reviewing the video after the parade, since I was only watching the small LCD screen on my camcorder while recording some videos.
It's an interesting video. As the videographer noted "The parade was fantastic, and this little surprise was an added bonus."
It's surprising that this video hasn't gotten more attention given that it seems to be the only known footage of a UFO above the NYC parade route on Thanksgiving Day.
