Initiative 300, introduced by Jeff Peckman of Denver, Colorado, failed to pass due to some tricky wording in another bill but make no mistake – we're getting closer to full government disclosure every day. It's only a matter of time before the government is forced to release years worth of information regarding UFOs and alien visitation.
Listen closely to the news these days and, in the background, muffled by all the noise about the elections and the economy, you'll start to notice the word 'disclosure'. Especially if you listen to any of the paranormal or conspiracy theory personalities.
Peckman was a guest on Coast to Coast AM Radio on Wednesday, November 3 and described how his initiative would have worked had it passed. A 7 person, volunteer commission would have been granted access to the Denver government website to post credible evidence that we are being visited by intelligent, extraterrestrial beings.
George Noory and Peckman both agreed that they believe the government is clueless and not on the cutting edge of knowledge – this type of transformation isn't something they're set up to handle. They both agree that if full disclosure does occur it will either be as the result of whistle blowers with great evidence or some type of accidental leak.
Peckman states that during his campaign for Initiative 300, the local media were surprised to find out that 70 to 80 percent of local people believed that we're not alone in the universe, that we are being visited, and that there's a vast government cover-up going on.
If you'd like to start your own movement and perhaps get an initiative on your local ballot, Peckman suggesst visiting your local elections office for details as each community has its own rules and regulations.

Disclosure no longer matters. The US Government has abandoned talks in August to disclose to the world the existence of these beings. Before this year is out it is planned to turn up in mass in the skies in a way that no one can deny. It has started, the next part is that all craft will turn up all at once globally. Enjoy the show.

The government has used disinformation, lies, discrediting and debunking to cover up what they know. Plausible deniability. Its largely our own fault for being gullible. I am sure they laugh at us behind our backs. If they disclose UFO's they have to disclose the secret black government. Not happening. 10 years ago I satisfied myself and stopped trying to convince others.
Bobster, I don't think they laugh at us - I think they're afraid. I think they might have laughed in the past, but you hear about disclosure more and more now. I think things are quickly coming to a head and they're not laughing anymore - now they're worried.
As an outsider looking in (I'm from Australia) I can't see how the US Gov is going manage to fit in any form of disclosure.
What is it now, mid term elections? Numerious changes, new people and a whole new raft of excuses. Obama's going to be flat out trying to run the country and deal with existing problems, and there are many of them. By the time any movement for disclosure gets momentum it will be election time again and the cycle would start again. Would I be be right in saying that the only way for any form of disclosure to take place is if all the political parties move together?
Now that you mention it, it does seem pretty impossible that the US Government officials could all be in agreement on at least one topic. Look how long they've been arguing about health care reform.
I think there will have to be a mass sighting. A global display
of UFO's. Kind of like Independance day before the world government wakes up. And its not just the USA that needs to disclose. We are not special. It they come here then they visit all countries. What about their Governments? It is what it is. Lets just wait for them to show up over our cities. I just hope we don't do anything stupid like fire the first shot. I tend to agree with you here, Ken. We're probably better off without the government trying to 'take control' of this one. And do we really need full 'Disclosure' from them anyway? Isn't there already enough evidence?

If government is in fact "clueless", why should there be such advocacy by Noory, Peckman, and the like, for 'disclosure' by governments?
Only fools ask for disclosure from those who haven't a clue.
If in fact Peckman and Nory are uttering such transparent double-talk as you attribute to them (It wouldn't be surprising, especially from Peckman.), the intelligence community doesn't need any 'moles' (even though it has some) in the field to make 'disclosure' advocates look silly.

D.C. Dweller, I can only go by what was said in the interview but I think they're saying that, while full disclosure would be nice, they don't think the people in the government who have the information completely understand what it is they're sitting on.
In my opinion, I was 'listening between the lines' and I compare it to that TV series, "Taken". The government people only looked at the aliens as something to either be studied or feared, because that's just how they think. But the rest of humanity looked on them as friendly beings we could learn from. And the G-men would never be able to understand this.
I have to agree with some of the comments that Governments in general don’t have a clue about what’s happening out there. Their all too busy doing what politicians do, usually bagging the opposition parties and trying to keep their seats. If some bills or laws get through the system then it’s a bonus. If any of you ever get a chance listen to question time for the Australian House of Representatives. You’ll see why ET’s and alike would never show up on the political radar.
My friends used to have a chuckle and tell me that I’m a bit paranoid seeing conspiracies every where. I always rejected the comments but as I get older and more cynical the vision of conspiracies is becoming clearer to myself and the others. As much as people hate the thought that governments are not running the country it’s basically a fact. Depending which country and political system you are in you will find layers of either Public Service or military departments. Leaders may change but the body of infrastructure that actually runs the show remains. Compartments of individuals carry on with their own agenda despite what is happening politically around them. We also have third party involvement, as one of the comments above points out. Dynasties of families and major industrial organizations have had their influence and financial hooks into the world economies for years.
Disclosure will come in one of two ways either an event that will be so great that it will unable to be covered up or Disclosure from other sources. One doesn’t have to be rocket scientist to work out that if the third party power brokers don’t want it to happen then it aint going to happen. God help us, free energy, free and permanent cures for diseases with no costly drugs a massive change in the way people think, perhaps enlightenment. Don’t think that the brokers are going to let it happen.
And what of the Military? They will have to admit they have lied about things for years. The only way they can be come involved is if an unconditional pardon is granted for everyone and for every thing done in the past.
Nearly missed religion. If your Hindu or Buddhist your going to be cool about it, but what about the others? A whole story could be written on this subject alone.

Sol, excellent points! And I agree with you, I think it's the third party, major corporations that really control this whole disclosure thing. They'll be hurt the most because they hold all the control right now whether people realize it or not. Thaddeus Russel was on Coast to Coast Saturday night and he had some good stuff to say about the last three generations of Bush patriarchs and their involvement in some of the major corporations.
But is a call for complete and total disclosure even necessary any more? Especially from the government? The grassroots movement gets larger every day and people are at the point now where they wouldn't believe anything the government says anyway.

Sean, Take a look at our human history if you were an enlightened race that has been watching our evolution would you take the chance of just dropping in?
Recently released government documents from various countries continually mention orders to pilots to shoot down the unidentified objects. Are we a peaceful race? Any anthropologist will laugh at t the concept.
Donna I would like to think that complete and total disclosure is not necessary because of the presented and growing evidence. However, many people who say they believe still want hard proof in some form or another. It’s fine saying look at all the evidence when a huge a mount of the evidence is rubbish or deliberate misinformation. You would have a pretty good idea what I mean. One of the things that turns me off and I assume other believers is what I call the fringe crew who appear to be caught up acting in some real life fantasy. How many types of Alien? What do they call them? Some ones fantasy becomes folk law with other people propagating the information as fact. I’m pretty sure that if there are multiple races of ET’s that they wouldn’t be called by the names we gave them. Star Trek, V and other SCI FI shows fuel peoples imaginations to a point where the movie has becomes a documentary to them. What about the web sites that will print everything as factual even when it conclusively proves false eg the United Nations posting of an ET ambassador it keeps reappearing.
I suppose what I’m trying to say is the majority of people are still skeptical and although they have a feeling there is something bigger going on it’s going to take something major to convince them.
All thought I can’t see it ever happening, imagine if the US military announced that the Roswell incident was real. Handled correctly it would be a great way for disclosure to occur. Many people already believe that there is a cover up so if it was announced that the story was true and ET’s existed, the shock may not be that great. As I commented in a previous post the military would need to pardoned for their cover ups. After the disclosure there could be a slow induction to the new reality. All unlikely but not imposable.

Personally, at this point I'd rather the government stay out of it. I really don't understand why so many people are calling for full government disclosure anyway. Are they saying they'd actually believe whatever it is the government tells them? I don't know about everybody else in this country but whenever MY elected officials tell me that the sky is blue I look up for myself just to make sure.
We can speculate all we want but we really don't know for sure what their true purpose for visiting is and there's really no way of stopping the movie makers and all the different disaster-mongers who are out there pushing their own version of little green men from Mars. But those people are the ones who will influence our first reactions if and when a mass visitation ever occurs. We'll have half the population thinking they can hook up with an alien and take a romantic tour of the universe while the other half is taking aim with nuclear weapons and shot guns. When what we'll really need to do is be calm and rational and find out what they want before we let them see how immature we really are.
Nice post, nice comments! I agree with Sean in a lot of ways. They need to expose themselves so that we can remove the political grasp from the goverment and military on the subject. But like Sol and Donna says, why would they show themselves and change our course of life when deep down humans are very brutal and still very ''animal instinct'' type of creature. We still kill for greed and sometime for nothing. We consume everything we touch. So why make first contact with a race that would probably try to eat you alive and try to steel your technology and wisdom just for greed and to get a political advantage against everyone else. Lets face it, are we worth it???? My theory is that there here just to study us. They are probably looking at us to study there own race at our development stage. They probably have a directive against interfearing with our evolution. The only way i can see them showing themselves and interfearing is when we will face destruction. Like some massive new war that would include use of nuclear bombs or some crazy rogue meteorite that would destroye us.

Marcus, I agree. I think the majority of the population couldn't handle full disclosure - assuming the government actually told us the truth.
I'm hoping that they wait a little while longer before they decide to pay us a big visit. Let more of the common people - those who are sane and level headed - get a glimpse first and prepare the way for them. If they decided to make themselves known worldwide today there would be panic in the streets. The governments would be out to kill them on sight and, like you said, suicides and hysteria among the people.

But it just feels like it could be anytime now and we'll wake up with a space ship in our backyards.
Donna, I certainly can feel the swell increasing. A few years ago there was some interest around but no where as much as it is now. The tide is coming in :o)

Its just a "matter" of "time"
The problem with full exposure or disclosure is that most people will still not believe because too many of us believe only if they witness it. But some signs are showing up about the disclosure event to come. UN are now open to appoint a ET ambasador.... If thats not a sign then what is? Even the vatican is starting to talk about it. Thats huge for a religion to start talking about the possibility that we are not alone. Or in fact its just a scam that ''God is sending other childrends''. Im sorry i dont believe in any religion. But i do believe that its basically impossible that we are alone. And i believe we were visited before. But, the UFO phenomena has grown exponentially because of the internet. Lots of people made fake videos that looked like the real deal. And all the ones that passed on the news, exemple the NY city one, its not clear it is really a UFO. We are yet to have the real deal that will make everyone a beliver.

I've never seen a UFO but I find it difficult to believe that in all that space out there we are the only life forms. I hope I'm around long enough to either see one for myself or at least see some physical proof myself.

I wish also the same that i would witness some event that would proove everyone.
But, I'm also preservative to say at the same time, I'm not sure if I want that either.
Two outcomes can result from that exposure and everyone knows that. One = passive friendly alien to say hello to a new civilization or Two = there here to get our ressources.
Next step for space travel for humankind is exactly for that reason: ressources. Imagine humans being able to fly to another abitable planet what would be the result. We would spread like a virus on that planet and kill everything in our path. Just like we did here on our planet. How many species did we wipe out? And were not done yet!
