UFO crashes in Namibia: Officials say mysterious metal ball came from space

There is strange UFO news from Africa today concerning an unidentified object found by police officers near near Onamatunga, Namibia. Officials have been unable to identify the unusual metal sphere that fell from the sky onto a remote grassland. It remains in the hands of local police while they continue their investigation.

On December 22, 2011, CNN reported that National Forensic Science Institute director Paul Ludik does not believe the small sphere is extra-terrestrial in origin. The object weighs six kilograms and measures 110 centimeters in circumference. It is made from a known metal alloy.

According to The Namibian, Paul Ludik believes the strange hollow sphere belongs neither to a UFO nor a conventional aircraft. He also confirmed that the object is not radioactive, bio-hazardous, or explosive.

The unidentified object was first discovered between Tuesday, November 15 and Sunday, November 20, 2011. The discovery of the object was preceded by the sounds of several explosions, according to locals in the Omusati Region. The explosions are presumed to have been caused by a sonic boom or the impact of the object as it struck the ground.
