Roy Jones wants to box Anderson Silva
It seems that the UFC Champion Anderson Silva is getting some bad advise from people who want to make some easy money betting against him fighting Roy Jones Jr. I hate to be the one to break it to you, or to Silva, but he has as much chance of beating a World Champion boxer like Roy Jones, as Kimbo does of winning a MMA fight, slim and none.
Nothing against Silva personally, he is definitely a great MMA fighter and sometimes very entertaining, but to fight against a former World Champion boxer, you have to be a World Champion caliber boxer, not a World Champion MMA fighter. He simply has NO chance. None.Period.
There is only one person to ever be a World Karate Champion, World Kick Boxing Champion and World Boxing Champion. The One and Only Troy Dorsey, and Anderson Silva is no Troy Dorsey. No MMA fighter is, No current or past Karate Champion is. Click here to read my article on the One and Only Troy Dorsey, and tell me one example of any karate, kick boxing, wrestling or mma fighter who has ever even been in the top 10 in boxing. There are none and Silva is definitely not going to be the next one. His boxing is sloppy and inconsistent. He can not take a hard punch and he will never never beat anyone in a boxing ring of the caliber of Roy Jones.
Here is a video of Jones asking for the fight and the easy money.'

All your articles are really poorly written.
anderson silva would definitely have no chance. jones would outclass him in the ring and vice versa. jones is way too quick for him.
Silva can't take a hard punch? What exactly is that based on? Silva has never been knocked down, or even rocked. He took a monster uppercut from Henderson and didn't even flinch; he actually beckoned Hendo for more.
Also, RJJ was a world class boxer. He's not the same fighter he was. This fight won't happen for a few years, and RJJ will decline more with age. He's already 40, and he's not going to age like Randy Couture.
Silva has a granite chin, is extremely fast and evasive, has great reach (nearly 4 inches on RJJ), great accuracy and power. I wouldn't call him a favorite, but he definitely has a good chance of winning this fight.
anderson silva will win. who are you?
I've been thinking about this a lot lately and I completely agree. Roy Jones would out class him, no matter how good he is at mma. They would be boxing, not fighing by MMA rules.
What's really crazy is how much he would outclass him when he was in his prime. I do really hope the fight happens though. I'd buy it.

...says creepy douche bag with a gi who knows nothing of mma
what ru on man.....anderson silva has no chance? you have to be an idiot to think that. Silva would put jones to sleep in the first round boxing or mma.
p.s. where did u learn to write
If silva blinked in a match he would wake up on the ground. judging by the speed of Roy Jones Jnr he is just too quick and smart.
you cant put an mma fighter against a world champ boxer hahaha roy is just to fast spart and just plain the best....
silva would try to kick he would be so stund by jones speed everybody stop haten on the best and the fastest...jones would make is mad with jones taunting silva wouldent know what to do...
Anderson Silva is one of the most precise strickers in the world. If your one of the ones that thinks jones would tear him apart do me a favor and actually watch one of silvas fights and count how many times he throws and misses. Pretty hard to do when the son of a bitch rarely misses. Now im not downing jones but you can not count out the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Silva Vs. Jones? I think this would be the biggest match of the decade at least. Hopefully we will be able to get the chance to see who will win that match.
Who the in the Hell is Ted Gambordella?
All of you die-hard boxing fanatics need to open your eyes and appreciate the challenge and intensity found in mixed martial arts. Boxing is a sport suited best for one-trick athletes whose arsenal of combat maneuvers never expanded past learning how to throw a heavy punch. I'm not saying that the boxers are incapable of learning anything else, but rather I am simply indicating that "one trick" is all that boxing demands. Because of this, a fight between RJJ and Silva should never transpire. Where's the fairness in restricting a fighter of Silva's caliber and versatility by putting him in a boxing match with someone whose never known how to DO anything ELSE? Silva's MMA would topple Roy Jones Jr.'s boxing as though he were a hopeless child...and anyone who says otherwise, well...just doesn't know what Anderson is capable of. Face facts: there is no place for boxers anymore. MMA is producing more well-rounded figures who put the greatest names ever in boxing history... to shame.
