When UFC 176 was cancelled due to an injury to Jose Aldo, the fans who were preparing to go to Fight Night 50 became the beneficiaries of one of the better fights the middleweight division has to offer. Previously scheduled to happen at UFC 176, #4 ranked middleweight Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza will now take on Gegard Mousasi in the main event of Fight Night 50.

Additionally, local fighter and former CES veteran Rob Font will be returning to the UFC Octagon for the second time after his successful debut vs. George Roop.
