According to a Jan. 23 post from Bleacher Report, UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre called Ronda Rousey a "very beautiful woman" during the UFC 158 press conference.
St-Pierre, 31, took some heat recently for saying he has a hard time watching women fight in the cage, and he's apparently trying to make amends by flirting with Rousey.
Female MMA stars like Rousey and Miesha Tate went on a rampage in the media in response to St-Pierre's comments about women's MMA, as they essentially said he was not at all knowledgeable about the female aspect of the game.
Tate called him "ignorant," and Rousey took it a step further by saying he is a boring champion who doesn't finish fights.
"I think that fighters that just try to win by points and come away with a win are actually bad for the sport," Rousey said. "If you never saw MMA before, and you walked in and you saw GSP and Koscheck, and all this jabbing out the whole time, it looks like a boring boxing match. I don't think you gain any fans with a fight like that."
"GSP was good for the sport for a while," Rousey continued. "He brought in some big sponsors like Gatorade and Under Armour, but I think he's done everything he can in a positive way and he needs to step aside and let Nick Diaz kick his ass."
St-Pierre won't buy into the back-and-forth trash-talking war that Rousey started. "It's very flattering for her to say that I'm a good looking guy, and I want to say she's a very beautiful woman as well," St-Pierre said of Rousey. "I feel very flattered."
