The UFC 170 live stream online and televised fights will be under the spotlight on Saturday night when mixed martial arts invades Las Vegas. Of particular interest on the main card, the Women's Bantamweight Championship is on the line for the main event as Ronda Rousey defends against Sara McMann. About six other preliminary fights will lead the way into the main show with televised and live streaming UFC 170 events coverage throughout Saturday night.
An SBNation.com report from Feb. 22 notes that tonight’s preliminary fights start with the free live stream online undercard on the UFC’s Fight Pass site. Fight Pass, part of UFC.TV, will feature two prelims online with Ernest Chaves vs. Yosdenis Cedeno in a Welterweight fight, and Erik Koch vs. Rafaello Oliveira. All four of these fights came in around 155 to 156 lbs during Friday nights weigh-ins. This special one-hour free online show featuring prelims starts up at 7 p.m. EST and lasts about an hour.
Those two online streaming fights are followed by four free preliminary fights featured on TV. Fox Sports 1 will serve as host as cable and satellite viewers get to watch a two-hour show featuring free fights. They’ll include Josh Sampo and Zach Makovsky doing battle, both of whom made weight Friday night. Cody Gibson takes on Alijamain Sterlin, while Pero Munhoz takes on Raphael Assuncao. Also, another women’s fight, featuring Jessica Eye and Alexis Davis finishes off these free fights on live television. Watch them on Fox Sports 1 beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday night.
Of course, the UFC 170 main pay-per-view will be what most fans are anticipating for mixed martial arts action on Saturday night. The main fight has the undefeated Rousey defending her Women’s Bantamweight title against undefeated challenger Sara McMann. McMann is a former medalist in Olympics wrestling, so there are some who give her a lot of respect in terms of potentially leaving Vegas with the title. Current odds have the underdog priced a lot lower than previous opponents for Rousey have been.
While those two will headline the show, there’s for other fights to watch on that main pay-per-view. Stephen Thompson vs. Robert Whittaker and TJ Waldburger vs. Mike Pyle are just two of them. The 171-pound superstar Rory MacDonald takes on Demian Maia (170 lbs.) while 205-pounders Daniel Cormier and Patrick Cummins also go toe-to-toe tonight.
Saturday night's main UFC 170 pay-per-view has a start time of 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. MMA fans can watch the fights go down on live television by ordering the pay-per-view on their cable or satellite providers including DISH Network and Cox Cable in Roanoke. There's also plenty of ways to order and watch live streaming online coverage of the fights. They include online sites such as UFC.TV, USTREAM, YouTube and Yahoo! Sports, as well as streaming media devices such as ROKU, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. See more details at UFC's website for how to order and watch.
