It is fight time here in Toyota Center in Houston as UFC 166 is underway. Our second fight of the night is a fight between Jeremy Larsen and Andre Fili. This fight is a catchweight fight because Fili missed weight. Bruce Buffer lets us know who is fighting and it is time to throw.
Fili comes out aggressive and lands some solid shots early. Larsen forces the clinch up against the cage but Fili quickly takes control and lands some big knees. Larsen goes down but recovers and maneuvers his way back to a dominant position against the cage. The knees from Fili have opened a big cut over the left eye of Larsen and the ref wants to take a look at it. Larsen is good to go and they are back at it. Larsen lands a solid left but Fili remains aggressive. Lasrsen scores a takedown and is looking to work from the guard of Fili. Fili works well from his back and gets back to his feet. The round comes to an end at it will go easily to Fili 10-9.
Round number two is on. Larsen lands a big right but Fili shakes it off. A right counter stuns Larsen and he goes down. Fili rushes in and the ref has seen enough, this fight is over.
The fight officially goes to Andre Fili at 53 seconds of the second round. Fili looked solid, he missed weight but cut from 178 lbs in just one week.
