UFC 158 St. Pierre vs. Diaz

On Saturday, March 16th the UFC returned to Canada for the welterweight champion fight between Georges St. Pierre and Nick Diaz. The card also featured the welterweight contender bout between Johny Hendricks and Carlos Condit. There were a total of 12 fights: 3 that streamed live on Facebook, 4 that aired live on FX, and the 5 fight main card on PPV. The card had 5 finishes, all by KO/TKO. Here are the results:

George Roop defeated Reuben Duran by unanimous decision.

T.J. Dillashaw connected with a knee in the 2nd round dropping Issei Tamura and finished him with punches earning a TKO.

Rick Story came back big after his recent loss with a 1st round TKO of Quinn Mulhern.

John Makdessi and Daron Cruickshank showed off their Taekwondo for 3 rounds with Makdessi earning the unanimous decision victory.

Jordan Mein won his UFC debut with an impressive finish of Dan Miller with a late first round TKO.

Darren Elkins earned a first round TKO over Antonio Carvalho. The stoppage was controversial as most claim the ref called in early.

Patrick Cote and Bobby Voelker have a 3 round brawl with Cote earning the unanimous decision victory in his welterweight debut.

Mike Ricci used his dominate wrestling on Colin Fletcher earning an unanimous decision victory.

Chris Camozzi out struck Nick Ring in a 3 round split decision victory.

Jake Ellenberger made a statement with his 1st round KO of Nate Marquardt.

Johny Hendricks and Carlos Condit went to war in a 3 round thriller with Hendricks earning the unanimous decision victory and next title shot.

Georges St. Pierre used his superior wrestling to out power Nick Diaz in a 5 round battle earning the unanimous decision victory. GSP now has the most title defenses in UFC welterweight history.
