Round 1: Both men touch gloves and come out of their corners feeling one another out. Griffin lands in half guard and lands punches to Franklin’s rib cage. Griffin tries to swing to side control but can’t get it and moves back to half guard. Griffin still landing shots on Franklin. Griffin dropping some devastating elbows to Franklin’s head. Griffin pounding away at Franklin as Franklin can’t seem to escape. Ever time Griffin lands a bigger shot, the crowd goes nuts.
Round 2: Franklin comes out swinging and Griffin answers with a kick to the mid-section. A small flurry of punches from both fighters. Franklin goes for a kick and Griffin catches him. Griffin now has Franklin’s back. Franklin gets up and looks to escape but Griffin hooks the leg and gets him down. Franklin gets back up and breaks free. Franklin with a straight left and Griffin drops Franklin but Franklin gets back up quickly. Franklin with a nice kick to Griffin’s left side. A small exchange between both fighters and the round ends.
Round 3: Franklin with a nice kick to the ribs of Griffin. Griffin tries for the takedown and gets it but Franklin gets right back up. Griffin is bleeding from his right ear. A nice couple of exchanges between both fighters. Franklin stuffs Griffin’s takedown attempt but Griffin recovers and gets control. Franklin reverses it. Griffin and Franklin going at it for control and both fighters stand. Both fighters slug it out for the last seconds of the round.
Winner via unanimous decision 29-28 from all three judges Forrest Griffin.

I don't know about you but I love the ufc except lately there has been a number of suspicious results,and it usually happens when the betting goes heavily to one fighter.It seems the more people bet for a fighter to win the more likely he it is that they don't.Now I hope I'm wrong but boxing suffered for a while with fighters taking dives for money and if this kind of thing happens in UFC it will ruin it's reputation.I am hoping it's coincidence but I know these fighters pretty well and what they are capable of but I have lost a lot of money over the past few months as I'm sure many people have.If you saw the Nam Phan fight you'll know what I'm talking about.Dana white gave Nam a bonus after the fight because he was so ripped off by the judges but what about everyone else that bet for Nam we all lost big bucks on that fight.As I said before I hope I'm wrong but I wasn't born yesterday.Please don't ruin my fave sport this way?
I too have seen some suspicious fights recently...havent seen a good fight in awhile either...Was hoping Forest would stomp Franklin like only he can...Still it sounds like the first round was worth watching but I feel kind of disappointed in any Griffin fight that doesnt end in him knocking someone out cold.
Forrest is good but he's not on Riches level Rich should have won that pretty easily,I also think these guys are making big bucks on the side.They're good friends so they have a punch on one goes a little harder get's the win and they all get paid big dollars from the major bookies.It sucks!!!
