UFC 111 to play live at select theaters

For the first time ever, select theaters around the country will broadcast a UFC fight. Saturday, March 27, UFC 111 Pierre vs Hardy will be available on the big screen live as well as on Pay Per View.
This event is one that should definitely draw crowds and may possibly sell out theater venues. Two title fights are on the line for the first time in 2010. A battle between welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and Dan Hardy is one that is sure to be spectacular. St. Pierre, who is returning to the Octagon after injuring his groin at UFC 100, will be showing the world what he has been working on while recovering. Also scheduled for the evening is the heavyweight bout between Shane Carwin and Frank Mir for the interim title. Both Carwin and St. Pierre have been sharpening their skills with Albuquerque's own Greg Jackson.
This event has already sold out, and the possibility of theaters selling out is very possible. While there is only one theater in Albuquerque showing UFC 111, there are a few sports bar that will also be broadcasting the event as well. Showtime is 8pm MT with two free prelim fights airing on Spike starting at 7pm MT. Here is where you can catch UFC 111 on Saturday, March 27 locally.
