Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin

Round 1
They come out to the center of the ring. Griffin lands a few strikes. Tito lands a solid combo of hands. Forrest is landing some kicks. Tito lands a strike and then goes for a takedown. Tito goes to the ground and pound. Forrest walk walks up and Tito still holds onto the leg. Both men are pressed against the cage but then they come back out to the center. A few exchanges of punches and then more pressing against the cage as the round ends.

Round 2
Back to the center of octagon and a few punches thrown but then Tito gets the take down. Ground and pound from Tito. Back up they go. Forrest lands a big front kick to Tito’s face and his mouth piece goes flying. Momentary pause to replace the mouthpiece. After restart, Forrest lands some shots but Tito goes back for a takedown and gets it. Crowd is fully behind Forrest. Tito landing some forearms to the face. Forrest is trying to defend from his back. Tito lands some elbows and Forrest is bleeding badly. Forrest reverses and gets in to half guard and he lands some elbows to Tito’s face. The round ends.

Round 3
Tito come storming out but Forrest is waiting. Forrest very active with punches and kicks. Jabs from both men. Forrest landing some punches and kicks combos. Ortiz blocking most strikes. Half way through the round he finally goes for a takedown but Forrest stops it. Griffin lands some more punch and kick combos. Near the end of the round Ortiz comes back with some combos of his own.

Forrest Griffin wins by Split Decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-28)

After the fight, Forrest said they should fight for a 3rd time since it's tied 1-1.
