UFC 106: Ortiz vs. Griffin 2 aired live on pay per view, last night, from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nev. On the main card of the pay per view was the UFC debut of Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (Lil' Nog), the smaller identical twin brother of former UFC interim heavyweight champ, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Nogueira faced off against heavy-handed Luis "Banha" Cane in a light heavyweight showdown.
The two Brazilians, at least on paper, made for a classic striker vs. grappler match up. To many fans' surprise, myself included, Nogueira was faster, more accurate, and overall better on his feet then Cane. Nogueira ended the fight abruptly, earning a $70,000 bonus for Knockout of the Night honors.
Here is the Knockout of the Night earning Nogueira vs. Cane fight in it's entirety. Enjoy!
Please be patient and let the video load and buffer, it takes a few seconds or so, depending on your connection speed.
