Here is how it happened:
The pair battled for position throughout the Octagon for the first minute when Larson worked a single-leg takedown, putting Foster in the sitting position against the fence. Larson stood and moved around into side control, but Foster got back into half-guard. Larson moved for the back and Foster stood up. Foster spun out and stood up, held Larson’s legs and delivered heavy blows from the top. Foster jumped into full mount, which Larson escaped, only to have Foster reign down blows.
Foster missed on a superman punch and hit the mat, and Larson delivered a kick to Foster’s eye while Foster was down, prompting referee Yves Lavigne to call timeout and deduct a point. After the restart, Larson tried to work a standing guillotine. Foster kept his left hand on the mat and Larson delivered a knee to the top of the head for another point deduction. Larson appeared to win the round 10-7.
Larson and Foster made it into a boxing match for the first half of the second round. Foster delivered a spinning back kick and some more blows before slamming Larson and pounding him. Larson was able to get up, but Foster turned up the heat. He picked up Larson and slammed him, threw him down again, and once more when Larson tried to shoot, then hammered away as Larson tapped, but it was officially a TKO.
Foster via TKO, strikes, 3:25 Rd. 2
