Uesugi Farms, the company that Aiello owns and operates, is located at 1020 California 25 in Gilroy, CA. It not only operates on 1,500 acres throughout California, but has 1,000 acres in Sonora, Mexico. The company has been known to operate the annual Uesugi Farms Pumpkin Park located in Morgan Hill. Pete Aiello has been on the Young Farmers and Ranchers state committee for the past three years.
Rick Neuenschwander manages Castro Valley Ranch, that operates on 9,000 acres throughout California. The ranch controls cattle, hunting, and timber operations. Both Aiello and Neuenschwander have been on the Santa Clara County Farm Bureau board for the past few years.
The percentage of what crops are grown in the county help operate cities like Gilroy and Morgan Hill each day. The farms are very important and with this leadership committee, the tradition will keep on going.
