Although the Uconn Huskies lost to the Michigan Wolverines 24-21, they certainly didn't disappoint their fans. Uconn came out strong, blasting the Wolverines to a sold out crowd. The biggest game/crowd in the history of Rentschler Field. UConn's Chandler Whitmer threw two touchdowns and safety Ty-Meer Brown returned a fumble 34 yards for a touchdown in the third putting Uconn ahead 21-7. Uconn who some right from the beginning didn't think they had a chance against Michigan's big 10 team had the crowd screaming with excitement. Miami Heat and former Uconn star Ray Allen was standing on the sideline to support his school and just as excited as the thousands of fans. In the end Uconn couldn't hold onto the lead. It was a disappointing loss leaving the Huskies to an 0-3 record but they still showed a huge improvement over the last two games, giving hope that the season isn't dead yet. UConn's next game is this Saturday when it travels to Buffalo for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
