The Week 2 NCAA college football schedule of online and TV games is full of great match-ups including the No. 16 UCLA Bruins at No. 23 Nebraska. The Huskers can make some noise if they can defeat UCLA Saturday afternoon, and according to a CBS Sports preview on Sept. 13, Nebraska coach Bo Pelini is looking for some revenge.
Last year the Huskers lost 36-30 to UCLA in Los Angeles. Okay, that doesn't sound so bad. I mean 36-30 is a close game, right?
Pelini is still hot over that game in which the Huskers gave up 653 yards - the second-most ever against a Nebraska defense.
Pelini said an estimated 300 of those 653 yards came after Nebraska defenders had made initial contact. The coach doesn't expect his players to forget that.
"I would hope, and I'm pretty positive, our team is motivated no matter what the situation,'' he said. "It just so happens we played this team a year ago, so if that provides our guys with extra motivation, so be it. I would hope it does. Hopefully that motivation will come in the form of great preparation, because that's how you win a football game.''
Senior QB Taylor Martinez will try to keep the Huskers undefeated tomorrow afternoon as Nebraska will look to continue to climb the AP Top 25 as they prepare for the Big Ten conference schedule to begin Oct. 5 when they face Illinois.
UCLA comes into this contest at 1-0 as they defeated Nevada 58-20 back on Aug. 31.
Las Vegas odds makers have Nebraska as a 3 point favorite and the over/under 70. College fans can catch all the action for this game on ABC or online via ESPN3 beginning at Noon EST.
Prediction: This game will be Nebraska's biggest test so far in 2013. It's payback time for the Huskers.
