UCLA's Shabazz Muhammad takes home Pac-12 Award

Coming off an impressive 27 point performance against #7 Missouri Tigers, UCLA Bruins freshman Shabazz Muhammad took home Pac-12 Player of the Week honors. The first time a Bruin has acquired the weekly honor since Lazeric Jones back in March of 2012.

The 6 foot 6 Bruin forward was responsible in the overtime win, by hitting clutch three pointer to help his team achieve the victory over the Tigers this past Friday at Pauley Pavilion.

Muhammad was a highly recruited freshman out of high school that averages 19 points a game this season so far.
He's scored in consecutive double figures in every game he's played this season after missing the first three games due to a minor NCAA violation infraction.

The Bruins and Muhammad will have to continue their winning way and provide maximum effort as they welcome Pac-12 opponents Cal and Stanford this coming week at Pauley Pavilion.
