The Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy in partnership with Westminster College will present its fifth lecture in the 2012-2013 Ambassador John Price and Marcia Price Lecture Series on Tuesday, February 19. The Council will feature Washington Post foreign correspondent Pamela Constable. Ms. Constable will discuss “Friend or foe: US - Pakistan Relations.” She will also include photos from her years in Pakistan, giving participants an intimate look at life in a country unknown to most of us.
Ms. Constable joined the Washington Post in 1994 as a staff writer after a decade with the Boston Globe focusing on South and Central America. She has been covering South Asia for the Post since April of 1999, including extensive coverage of Afghanistan, India and Pakistan.
A 1974 graduate of Brown University, Ms. Constable is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a former fellow at the Alicia Patterson Foundation and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Winner of the Maria Moors Cabot Prize for journalism from Columbia University, Constable is also the author of Fragments of Grace: My Search for Meaning in the Strife of South Asia, Playing with Fire: Pakistan at War with Itself, and co-author of A Nation of Enemies: Chile Under Pinochet.
