UC Irvine Athletics 4th annual Girls & Women in Sports Celebration

On Saturday, January 30th, 2010, UC Irvine Athletics will hold a free health and fitness clinic for girls in celebration of the national initiative, Girls and Women in Sports Day. The event will take place on the UC Irvine Campus at the Athletics Complex. This event will feature instructional clinics in soccer, golf, basketball, volleyball and cheer taught by UC Irvine's own intercollegiate athletes.

After the clinic, registrants will be treated to free admission as the UC Irvine women's basketball team takes on Cal State Fullerton in the Bren Events Center. The clinic will run from 11:00pm-3:00pm, with the basketball game starting at 4:00pm. The clinic will also include a free goodie bag, lunch, and a t-shirt. Registration for the event is free of charge and open to girls ages 12 and under.

UC Irvine Athletics Health and fitness clinic will offer local girls the opportunity, the experience, and the joy of sports from some real life role models. The goal for this event is to help foster a love for sports in young girls that will last them a lifetime.

Space for this event is limited to the first 200 registrants. Online registration can be completed at the UCI Athletics website, under the CAMPS button, found at www.ucirvinesports.com. For more information, please contact Edie at 949-824-7587.
