Today June 5, 2014 Ubisoft revealed a new video showcasing gameplay from their upcoming puzzle-adventure game Valiant Hearts: The Great War. The new developer diary features Lead Designer Julien Chevallier and Game and Level Designer Simon Chocquet-Bottani talking about how the dog Walt "represents an almost child-like look at the realities of the war." Walt is more than just a companion. You'll need his help to navigate through a myriad of puzzles and distract enemies.
Set during World War I and developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, Valiant Hearts: The Great War uses the UbiArt Framework which results in a gorgeous animated comic-book style. Don't take our word for it: Check out the the trailer for yourself to see the "wide-ranging color palette – from the dark trenches to green forests and snowy fields."
From what we've seen so far, the art direction of the game looks stunning, and this is one title we're looking forward to getting our hand on. Are you?
