To describe it in a word: incredible.
Ubisoft's new trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist (below, left) is absolutely eye-catching and adrenaline-pinching, drawing gamers deeper in with every second.
The trailer uses clips from previous presidential inaugurations, including Richard M. Nixon, Bill Clinton and audio from Barack Obama. Spliced in is actual in-game footage showing all the stealth combat action players would expect from CIA wonder-spy Sam Fischer.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist tells the story of twelve nations, tired of the United States military presence within them, who unfold a massive terror plot called The Blacklist-- a series of increasingly deadly terror attacks on US interests. Sam Fischer, the new leader behind the 4th Echelon unit, must find the terrorists and stop the plot before millions are killed.
Blacklist will tout a hefty selection of features on top of the always intriguing Tom Clancy storyline. Players can use the Killing in Motion system to seamlessly mark and eliminate targets in one fluid motion, making execution a kind of macabre ballet. Sam will also have a wealth of new 4th Echelon prototypes at his disposal, some with very explosive results.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist will be hitting shelves August 23rd, so be sure to infiltrate Best Buy here in Manchester to requisition yourself a preorder.
