Ubisoft says the engine for their upcoming racer The Crew allow's for a vastly diverse open world and "seamless experience" generated on a single server.

"The engine we’ve developed for The Crew allows us to really embrace our vision of an open-world racing game," Serkan Hassan, the game's lead designer told Examiner in an exclusive interview. "First, with the way the world is generated, it allows for a diversity that otherwise would have required many more years of work. Second, the online infrastructure allows all of our players to be on a single server for a much more seamless experience."

The publisher also announced that the game does not require cooperative play and will feature a living world that reacts to players decisions.

Slated for release this fall, The Crew will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
