U2 reunites for surprise gig at Help Haiti Home benefit (video)

U2 Fans missed a very cool moment on Saturday night in Hollywood as the band reunited for a private party. According to People Magazine, the band took to the stage at Sean Penn's third annual Help Haiti Home benefit, which raised nearly $6 million. This special celebrity packed event marked the first time the band played together in four years! With Bono belting out the hits, it was a special set which couldn’t have come at a better time as the group is known for their charitable moments.

The music helped open the wallets of the celebrities. Finding reason to help those folks who are still dealing with the tragic earthquake years ago, Sean Penn had everyone offering up a little more cash after the music started. Not only did U2 perform, so did Haitian Anaelle Jean-Pierre with her angelic voice.

The Haitian benefit once again proved that Sean Penn has a big influence in Hollywood. Looking to make a difference in other people’s lives, the popular actor was able to rally the stars and get money so badly needed for the victims in the country. Plus those fans in the audience got a special treat as many people wondered when U2 would get back together. Apparently, that’s already happened and thankfully there is video to prove it.
