U2 opened their “U2 360” tour on June 30th, in Barcelona, Spain. Thousands of eager fans gathered to watch the performance in the Camp Nou Stadium.
There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the design of the stage for this world tour. It offers a 360° unobstructed view that is sure to please millions of U2 fans. The band played 22 songs that included some of their older music which was a huge hit for the Spanish fans. Bono offered a huge surprise to the evening when he actually contacted astronauts from the International Space Station. They appeared on a giant screen and exchanged a few words with the band. The crowd, close to 90,000 people, experienced an evening of surprises, an amazing stage structure, and an incredible musical performance. The U2 website is already exploding with fans giving the concert rave reviews
The band will be visiting fourteen cities across Europe over the next two months. In September, U2 will kick off their North American tour that will visit sixteen cities across the United States and Canada. Tickets are still available for many of their performances.
