U.S. Political Class elite ignores growing protest

Two recent Rasmussen poll (04/21/09) reports indicate that while the Washington Political Class power elite ignores the growing voice of disenchanted voters, the unrest in America is beginning to spillover in ways never anticipated by them.

Their first mistake was to make fun of the TEA Party movement, which it turned out was supported by 51% of Americans.  That is amazing because this movement began just a few months ago and because of the internet, gathered steam, giving a voice not only to physical participants, but that of millions of Americans.

Their next mistake may be seen in another Rasmussen Poll that shows that 60% of Americans say that the federal government has too much power and too much money.

Americans are now looking at how the Political Class elite have used their power and positions to gain control and wealth. The corruption in both parties, both Democrats and Republicans, is beginning to turn the stomachs of voters.

At one time, this corruption could be hidden, but due to the internet, and the amazing number of citizen journalists, and the numerous watchdog groups that have been formed during the last year, once the stink of their behavior begins to percolate among the electorate, it is becoming too putrid to ignore.

One of the vital things that is coming out of the protests is an awareness of what is in the Constitution of the United States.  As they watch it being destroyed by the Obamat administration  and the Democrats in Congress, they are beginning to respond to the loss of their rights.

The revolt against the Political Class power elite has less to do with party affiliation and more to do with the repulsion that is growing against incumbents in general.  More and more of  the public is beginning remember the words of Ronald Reagan,

government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.

And according to the Rasmussen poll, 85% of mainstream America agrees with him.

Martha Gore writes, "The corruption in both parties, both Democrats and Republicans, is beginning to turn the stomachs of voters."

Yours is a very important notion and a very fair bipartisan assessment of our politicians.

Almost all politicians along with a lot of hard political party line Americans are blind to this bipartisan revolt boiling up across America; they are in deep denial.

Our family attended two tax revolts to date. My observation is people of all political persuasions attend these protests. Average ordinary Americans are mad, rightfully so.

Bush made a mess of our world. Obama is making a mess of America. Capitol Hill persists in pork barrel spending. Democrats are robbing us our freedoms. Republicans sit idle being dumbfounded by whatever.

America does not have an effective government.

What I view happening is our citizens are working at taking control at a state level. Americans have fairly much given up on working with our federal government; impossible task.

Dozens of states are issuing reminders of our Tenth Amendment rights. Dozens of states are working at issuing "cease and desist" demands against our federal government. Many state governors and state legislators are beginning to truly listen to their state residents.

Some states, like California and New York, are simply hopeless causes. California is on the verge of declaring bankruptcy, New York is suffering significant political bickering.

Texas seems to be taking the lead on this new revolution. Oklahoma is as well. Alaska is likely to jump in soon. Louisiana is damn mad and has been for years.

Although different causes, the revolution of the Sixties began much the same as our protests of today. Initially, the Sixties began small and met much resistance and suppression from our government, as today. However, our counterculture grew stronger as our government effected more suppression. Over a few years, the Sixties snowballed into the most massive protests of American history, so much so, politicians were forced to make changes in the direction of our nation.

Back then, issues were Vietnam and Civil Rights.

Today, issues are oppressive taxes, economic hardship and loss of freedoms.

Our unrest and protests of today are beginning to snowball much like back in the Sixties.

There is a distinct difference. This time all peoples are becoming involved, young, old, left, right, rich and poor.

Difference is American families losing their jobs, losing their homes, living on the streets, having their children go hungry, while facing massive tax increases, this is effecting everyone, not just some.

Bush made a mess of our world. Obama is making a mess of America. We Americans are now much worse off than ever in our country's history, worse off and mad as hell.

I believe this Obama debacle is pushing Americans over the edge, sending all of us out to the streets in protest.

These tea parties are just the beginning, and Obama is the spark igniting a wild fire.

Here is another example of this arrogance of the political elite.

Word leaked out today government assembly staff in California secretly received substantial pay raises, both Democrat and Republican. Those are staff members typically earning six digit salaries, and now, pay raises, almost.

California just inflicted the most massive tax increase of national history, is amongst the highest of unemployment rates, highest foreclosure rate and number one highest for taxes. California families are truly hurting.

California government response, give pay raises to political aides and staff members.

Residents of California are so enraged, are protesting so much, blithering idiot Assembly Speaker Karen Bass announces today those pay raises are rescinded.

Politicians are so shockingly stupid, from the feds to the states to city governments. Secret pay raises and when caught, all kinds of lame excuses from politicians.

This incident well exemplifies almost all of our politicians are lying, thieving, political whores who do not care diddly-squat about America and care even less for American families.

From Obama down to the mayor of San Francisco, just a bunch of liars and crooks with a small handful of exceptions, such as Palin and Perry along with others like those two.

If not for political watchdogs, if not for angry Americans protesting, those secret pay raises would have never been discovered then exposed.

Americans are extremely angry and politicians continue to fleece the pockets of American families, with impunity.

How much longer do you, the reader, suppose American families will tolerate this abuse before America explodes into revolt?

    I think not much longer.
